The series started off many years ago as a Services League for East Anglia, hence races are held on Wednesday afternoons at 2.00pm. Later Clubs and Colleges joined and now it is mainly clubs from Norfolk and Suffolk. It is free to enter for all Senior members (1st or 2nd claim) and Junior members aged 15+.
It is very much a low cost League with it being free for Members of participating Clubs (who have paid an Annual entry fee). Runners merely have to register online.
First to finish in each distance and gender scores 150 points, second 149, third 148 etc. Team wise, in the 10k it is 4 to score and 5k 3 to score. However everyone scores as we have A, B, C teams etc.
The League uses Parkrun Barcodes to help with the results, so if you want to take part please make sure you apply (online) for a Parkrun Barcode which is FREE (if you don’t already have one). Then you have to register with the League which also FREE for club members. Please have your barcode with you on the day.
NEW FOR 2025/26
The League uses Parkrun Barcodes to help with the results, so if you want to take part please make sure you apply (online) for a Parkrun Barcode which is FREE. Then you have to register with the League which also FREE.
If you are not registered for Park run here is the link to register for a free Parkrun barcode. Please bring it with you on the day:
All runners need to fill in the form (unless you have done so since 26th March 2025), but there is much less to do if you ran in 2024/25.
To enter for this season you need to fill in a shortened version of the entry form to confirm nothing has changed. You can also make changes such as a change of club or email address.
Those who are new to the league, or didn’t race last season, fill in the whole form if you haven’t already done so this summer.
It’s the same form for all, but it asks less questions if you answered them before.
This will enable us to remove the data for runners who don’t wish to remain on the list (GDPR).
Please do this before the first race at Stowmarket on 29th October.

The league website is :
There is no fee for you to pay the Club has paid the Team fee which covers every event in this league.
At Race 10 there will be a prize giving and a buffet immediately after the race.
End of season prizes are awarded to 1st-5th male and female on short and long courses (ie, there are four 1st-5th prizes) and also to everyone who has completed all 10 races.
Many of us travel together and so we car share, normally meeting up at Stowupland Village Hall Car Park and taking it in turns to drive. This makes it more fun and saves fuel etc! Club vests must be worn, so if you are new to the club or haven’t got round to getting one yet, please make sure you have purchased one from our online store.
Mike Munson overseas this league so if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact him at michaelja.munson@gmail.com.
We are hoping to see lots of you joining in this season’s cross country!
