Walk & Talk -7th September
“Just 17 minutes of exercise to your day really can do wonders for your mental and physical health”
We all love to run and that is why we have joined this great club of like minded people but sometimes, due to injury, illness or loss of mojo, we find it difficult to get out there and do it. We also realise that after a break from coming to Striders for whatever reason, it can be difficult to come back.
We have organised a walk and talk for this Thursday, 7th September in addition to the usual 6:30 social run.
It is being led by the clubs mental health ambassadors Jane, Helen, Wendy and Paul. Look out for us in the club room in our turquoise t-shirts! Everyone welcome.
Striders on Tour – Bournemouth Marathon Festival 7th-8th October.

Bournemouth Marathon Festival has something for all the family. All events take place along Bournemouth’s sunny seafront, with each finisher receiving an amazing medal, goody bag and t-shirt. It’s the perfect event for considering an Autumn Marathon.
Entries for the Bournemouth Marathon Festival are now open for; Supernova 5k, Supersonic 10k, Half Marathon & full Marathon.
And for our budding athletes; Kids Kilometre (3-6 years), Junior 1.5k (6-8years), Junior 2k (9-12years) & Junior 5k (11-18years).
https://www.bournemouthmarathon.com
Striders will need to undertake their own race entries, travel independently and make their own accommodation arrangements, but the plan is to meet up over the weekend for a Strider get-together!
If you have any questions, then please email Kendra Hammond – social@stowmarketstriders.org.uk – let us know when you have signed up and to what race – we can then keep you in the loop regarding arrangements.
