Race Fees
Advance Entry – £3.00 (No entries on the day – entry limit of 300)

Children are actively encouraged to take part, but children aged 8 and under will need to be accompanied by an adult, who will also need to complete an entry.
Prizes will be awarded to:
Trophies for the 1st, 2nd & 3rd Male and Female runners
Trophies for the 1st U11, U13 & U15
Medals for all finishers
£50 prize money for a new course record for both male and female
The race is a certified distance gun timed race. Competitors can collect their race numbers from the Events tent at the Race start from 1pm. These must be pinned to the front of your T-shirt/running vest by four safety pins.
Audio Equipment & ear phones:
All audio devices or similar ear type devices are fully banned as a matter of runners & official’s safety. Any entrant caught using one during the race will be disqualified by the race referee.
Please collect your race number from race headquarters on race day.

Declaration/Conditions of entry. By entering the Golden Mile you agree to the following ‘I am an amateur as defined by UK Athletics and agree to abide by their rules. I understand that my details will be held on computer to assist in the administration of this event. I also agree not to run with any prior knowledge of injury or illness. I accept that neither the sponsors, nor the organisers or their servants will become liable for any injury, loss or action claim (howsoever occasioned) resulting from this event. I accept that use of audio headphones will lead to disqualification’
In the eventuality of this event being cancelled due to adverse weather conditions, safety reasons or other issues beyond the control of Stowmarket Striders, it is our policy not to offer refunds or deferrals due to costs already incurred. Entry into this event will be considered acceptance of these terms and conditions.
By using our online entry system you are opting in to use of your personal data for essential data processing in relation to the event you have entered and payment processing. You also agree that we may publish your personal Information as part of the results of the event and may pass such information to the governing body, race organisers, or any affiliated organisation for the purpose of insurance, licences or for publishing results either for the event alone or combined with or compared to other events. Results may include (but not be limited to) name, any club affiliation, race times and age category.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
You need to comfortably complete a mile distance, children under 8 years of age need to be accompanied by an adult, who should also be entered into the race.

What’s the refund policy?
Sorry, we have a general non-refundable policy – however you can transfer your place up until 20th August or withdraw from the race. If you withdraw we can offer your place to the waiting list, if your place is taken up then we will give you a full refund. Please email us at racenews@stowmarketstriders.org.uk
Can I update my registration information?
If you have made a mistake, then please email us at racenews@stowmarketstriders.org.uk and we will be happy to update your entry for you.
Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?
Yes, you can transfer your place to another runner if you can’t run, please email us at racenews@stowmarketstriders.org.uk and we will be happy to update your entry for you. Please provide the new runners information on your email.
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn’t match the person who attends?
No. If you have not officially transferred your place to another runner, please do not give another runner your race number on race day. This can lead to issues for you, the runner using your number, the club, the race organisers, and even the emergency services. UKA race regulations state that athletes who run in transferred numbers in UKA-licensed road races without permission are to be disqualified. Both they and those who pass on the number will be subject to disciplinary action via the appropriate national organisation.
