Striders v Pacers v Jaffas Track Challenge 2024

Our annual Track Challenge with the St Edmunds Pacers and Ipswich Jaffa clubs is fast approaching. The first fixture on Monday 3rd June will be held at Abbeycroft Leisure Centre, Bury St Edmunds and the second on Monday 2nd September at Northgate Sports Centre, Ipswich.

Just to remind you that the club covers the cost of your entry fee and as usual, we have three chip-timed senior races, and 2 Junior races. These are:-

Boys & Girls Junior races 6.30pm – (1500 metres) open to all ages 9-15

Senior Race 1 at 7 pm – Sub 19 minutes (20 places)

Senior Race 2 at 7:25 – 19 to 23 minutes (20 places)

Senior Race 3 at 7:55 – Over 23 minutes (20 places)

All the races will be chip timed, with a gun start (the chip mats will be on the finishing line).

By entering the Track Challenge you will also be competing for the Captains Cup Awards which awards the top 3 most improved runners male & female across the two events.

If you are interested in the track challenges, please send an email to Captains at captains@stowmarketstriders.org.uk confirming your name and in which race you would like to be entered. Please note spaces are limited and it is on a first come first served basis.

Please also check you can attend both dates. Priority will be given to those that can but please still put your name forward if you can only attend one and advise us in your email.
