Cheaper Race Entry Fees

Being a member of a running club will usually mean that you pay £2 per race less than runners unattached to a running club.

Club Kit

Stowmarket Striders sell a range of running clothes and accessories to the members of the club. The price of these items is usually non-profit making to assist members to afford running clothes. Most items however will advertise the clubs name upon it somewhere. Note that to run many races, club vests must be worn. Click here to see what club kit is available.

A great benefit of being a running club member is the ability to get discounts at certain local sports shops in the Stowmarket and Bury St Edmunds area. British Triathlon Federation Membership

Although Stowmarket Striders Running Club is not a Triathlon Club a large number of our members do compete in triathlons. In 2012 the club decided it would be of benefit to our members for the club to join the British Triathlon Federation (BTF). This affiliation gives Striders club members the benefit of an £11 discount bringing membership to the BTF down to £40 per year. Members benefits include, magazines, handbooks, personal accident insurance, public liability insurance, eligibility for GE Great Britain Age-group teams and to compete for British and Triathlon England titles.
